Return & Refund Policy
At Ernest Shitzu Home, the health and well-being of our puppies are our top priorities. We take great care to ensure that every puppy leaving our home is healthy, well-socialized, and ready to join a loving family. Because each puppy is a living being and not a product, our return and refund policy is designed to protect both the puppy and the adopting family while maintaining fairness and transparency.
Health Guarantee
All puppies come with a written health guarantee. Before leaving our home, each puppy is examined by a licensed veterinarian, vaccinated, and dewormed. We provide a complete health record and a signed health certificate.
If a licensed veterinarian determines within 72 hours of delivery that your puppy has a serious, life-threatening genetic or congenital condition, you must notify us immediately in writing. Upon verification by our veterinarian, we will offer one of the following options:
- A replacement puppy of equal value (when available), or
- A refund of the purchase price (excluding shipping or delivery costs).
The puppy must be returned to us within seven (7) days of the diagnosis, along with the veterinarian’s written report.
Non-Refundable Deposits
All deposits made to reserve a puppy are non-refundable. Deposits secure your chosen puppy and cover initial care and administrative costs. However, deposits may be transferred to another available puppy or future litter upon request.
Return Policy
We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. If you are unable to keep your puppy for any reason, we ask that you contact us immediately. We will gladly assist in rehoming the puppy to ensure they are placed in a safe and loving environment.
Please note:
- Refunds are not provided for returns based on personal preference, allergies, or changes in circumstances.
- The puppy must be returned in good health, with all veterinary records and registration papers.
- Transportation costs for returning a puppy are the responsibility of the buyer.
Refund Exclusions
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Minor, treatable, or temporary health conditions (such as parasites, mild infections, or stress-related issues).
- Injuries or illnesses that occur after the puppy leaves our care.
- Buyer’s failure to provide proper care, nutrition, or veterinary attention.

We stand behind the quality and health of every puppy we raise. Our goal is to ensure that each family is completely satisfied and that every puppy is placed in a loving, responsible home.
